Institute Class Offerings for Students and Parents

Suzuki Repertoire

Review and polish your Suzuki pieces in a group class setting

Technique

Work on the finer points of executing excellent instrumental skills in a group setting

Master Class

Have an individual lesson with a master teacher in a small group setting (3 or 4 students per class) where everyone can observe and learn from all the individual instruction

Western Swing & Texas-style Fiddling

Play favorite fiddle tunes in the style of the great Bob Wills in a group setting. Cellists and bassists will also learn to play bass lines.

Orchestra

Play in a string orchestra. Music will be learned by reading sheet music.

Parent Talk

Daily presentations just for parents, given by our expert faculty and music professionals.

Enrichment

More class offerings that are not focused on Suzuki literature

Fiddle Jam Session

A fun, relaxed, and informal way to play your favorite tunes in a group setting and watch and learn some new tunes along the way

Recital

Solo performance opportunity, open to any student who would like to perform in our supportive institute environment

Play-In

A fun and informal session where EVERYONE plays together, sharing and enjoying familiar Suzuki tunes that they know well

Final Concert

Friday afternoon formal presentation of music by students and faculty on stage to complete our institute week

Western Swing Night

The fiddle students are the band tonight! Enjoy a real Texas style Barbecue dinner and dance to the toe-tapping fiddle tunes performed by the institute fiddle classes and our faculty.
